Free Spirit is a beautiful palomino paint mare born June 6, 2005 in Minneapolis, MN and brought to New Mexico by her owner when she moved here in July of 2011. Free Spirit was raised from a baby and trained to be a great trail horse. Jeff and her owner became friends and began riding horses all over the East Mountain area back in the summer of 2011. One of Jeff’s fondest memories of Free Spirit was trail riding with her through the Manzano wilderness in Red Canyon campground. With two other friends they rode horses to Ox Canyon trailhead, then returned to Red Canyon campground on Memorial Day of 2011.
This horse is amazing in what she can do. She is also a horse that needs a lot of love and we are just the folks who can give her that. She enjoys being out for the ride and our intentions are to one day ride her around the ranch. We know she will be a fine teacher for some of our willing volunteers who have dreams of riding and learning the honorable skills of good horsemanship.
