Happy came to us in February 2021 when he was approximately three weeks old with another calf named Lucky. Happy is a Holstein steer that came from a dairy farm in Belen, New Mexico that kept some of their baby calves for breeding. Lucky and Happy were bottle fed for months until we weaned them and transitioned them over to the big land.  They are still our “little guys” even though they are growing hale and hearty and bigger every day!
