Reporter Ollie Reed writing for the Albuquerque Journal, covered our participation in the 2022 New Mexico State Fair as part of the first ever, “‘Show & Tell’ event,” to feature the state’s equine rescue organizations.
Reed featured, Rescue, one of our rescued horses here at the ranch and highlighted that he and other horses from our herd will be making a public appearance on Thursday September 8 from 9 a.m. to noon at the State Fair Equestrian Center at Expo New Mexico.
About the event Reed wrote, “Presented by the New Mexico Equine Rescue Alliance on the first morning of this year’s State Fair, the Show & Tell program is intended to let the public know what New Mexico’s 10 registered equine rescue operations do.’
“Four of the 10 equine rescues – Masleña; Four Corners Equine Rescue of Aztec; New Mexico Horse Rescue at Walkin N Circles Ranch of Edgewood; and The Horse Shelter of Cerrillos – will be in attendance. So will more than a dozen horses.”

We are grateful of the coverage and the community outpouring of support. We hope to celebrate this event with everyone om Thursday and invite supporters, home school groups, organizations and others to come meet with us at our booth inside the Equestrian Center and come hear Jeff and Tori speak about what we do and why. All are welcome and we look forward to seeing you there!
